About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Architectural Designer to join our growing team focused on Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in Goleta, California. In this role, you'll create beautiful, functional ADU designs that meet client needs while navigating local regulations and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Create custom ADU designs and floorplans tailored to client needs and property constraints
• Develop detailed construction documents and specifications
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and city officials
• Ensure designs comply with local zoning regulations and building codes
• Present design concepts to clients and incorporate feedback
• Stay updated on ADU regulations and design trends
• Support permit application processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
• 3+ years of residential design experience, with ADU experience preferred
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (required)
• Strong knowledge of California building codes and zoning regulations
• Excellent visual communication and presentation skills
• Portfolio demonstrating residential design expertise
• Strong problem-solving and client communication abilities
• Experience with permit processes in California
